1230 – Lisa Blaker, Nurse and Author "Heart of Darfur"

At half past 12 I'm very lucky to be speaking with a woman named Lisa Blaker. She's a nurse who's just published an autobiography called "Heart of Darfur" (out through Hodder) which details her experiences working in conflict zones. She says Darfur broke her heart and drained her soul, and that her experiences there and in other war zones like Basra, Iraq have made it near impossible to settle back into life in New Zealand. And if her 10 minutes on the Wire aren't enough for you, she'll also be doing a number of speaking engagements in bookshops and libraries in the coming weeks.

1250 – Barney McDonald, ex-Pavement editor

1300 – Jack Yan, 'Pavement' trademark owner

Ah... Pavement magazine. It wasn't all underage nudity and minimal fonts, it was one man's life and passion. And now, according to that man, it's being stolen from him. Former editor Barney McDonald will join me at ten to one to cry foul over moves by one Jack Yan, who's recently, and legally, acquired the Pavement trademark as it applies to magazines and publications. And after I speak to Barney, I'll be asking Jack Yan why he wanted this one anyway.

1315 – Jeanette Fitzsimmons, Green Party co-leader

At one fifteen I'll be speaking with Green Party co-leader Jeanette Fitzsimmons about a new law requiring the mandatory use of biofuel. Not much use mind you, with minimum limits set at 0.5% of petrol and diesel by next year, rising to 3.4% by 2012. But the Green's main concern was growing the plants to produce the fuel in the first place, and how this might impact the environment. So are they happy with the new law as is?
