Fashion Week: Salisai Shows Hard-Edged Collection

Ex Mooks womenswear designer Kirsha Whitcher showed a slightly hard-edged collection with a pleasingly delivered, almost comic book ambience. Bowl-cut-sporting models presented outfits in black, grey, hot burnt orange and cobalt, detailed with contrast tape, zips and domes.
There were lots of ‘80s influences – a black shirt dress offered epaulette-caught sleeves; a knit domed open to reveal a flash of colour underneath; caps sleeves, pants with elastic at the ankles and (oh scary flashback) a catsuit and a jumpsuit.

We loved the “back in 5” tee and the striking abstract print in white/blue/orange – particularly in a great ruffled jumbo scarf.
Girls who didn’t wear ‘80s the first time round will love this, and there are some cunning pieces that those of use who did will get away with – thanks Kirsha!
