1215 – Richard Wood, Internet NZ
At quarter past 12 we'll be talking copyright, or copywrong as the cleverly punned case may be. The Commerce Committee has come back with it's latest version of the Copyright Amendment Bill, and Internet NZ isn't so keen on it. They say it lock's in outdated restrictions, and what's more, demonstrates that copyright law here needs to be completely rethought in these Internetted days – rather than just rejigged. It's all very jargon-filled and hard to understand, but could make common criminals of common people. Richard Wood, from Internet NZ will be on the line to share his concerns.
1230 – John Banks, Mayoral Candidate
At half past 12 we continue this weeks Mayoral candidate interviews with long-time bFM listener Mr John Banks. One of the most polarising figures in local politics will be on the line to share his vision for the future of Auckland City, tell us if he's changed his spots, and let us know if he's warmed at all to egg-throwing Uni-students.
1300 – Jo Elvidge, Violence Prevention Service Leader MOH
At one, I'm hoping to speak with Jo Elvidge who works with the Ministry of Health as their Violence Prevention Service leader. She's been running the media gauntlet in the last couple of days after the government announced it's new scheme, asking all women who go through public hospitals if they've been victims of domestic violence. There's been general applause for the move, but also a number of concerns raised – primarily that the likely increase in vicitms will be too much for the system to cope with. Jo's going to address some of those concerns at 1.
1320 – Counterclockwise
Counterclockwise at twenty past one today, and this week I'll be getting a political rundown from scoop's Kevin List. It's been a pretty crap week for Labour – but can they turn their fortunes around like a cicada with bad luck who's shed it's old, tired, Benson-Pope like skin.
1340 – Glen Drake and Tandi Wright from "Three Days of Rain"
And to finish the show at twenty to 2, I'll be joined in the studio by Tandi Wright and Glen Drake who are currently performing at the Silo Theatre in a play called Three Days of Rain. By all accounts it's quite brilliant too.
