Palestine’s Double Occupation Burns for a Fight
By Genevieve Cora Fraser
The tower crashes
Memory burns
Gaza in ruins
Flesh and blood
Torn asunder
Civil War
Enticed into being
By Israel-US-EU’s
Name-calling
Hamas as Terrorists
The Real Terrorists
Refuse to talk
With the Democratically
Elected not selected
Like the Bush
Burned into our brains
The world sustains
The aftermath
Of the selected-one
Bent on world control
Domination subjugation
Starvation is the mother
Of collusion
The Double Occupation
In Palestine a people
Torn by the warring
Factions splintered
Into a myriad of retaliatory
Militant groups retaliating
For the pain wedged so deep
Inside there is no let up
Israel’s genocidal intent
In overdrive
Overwhelms the body politic
Incited to act and react
Hate and debate
Blood spills into the streets
Re-check-pointed by Hamas
Armed gangs
Patrol and loot
Paralyze those paralyzed
By The Enemy Without
Mercy the Israelis
And their Western lackeys
Fatah’s Emergency
Government in search
Of salvation
From taking the rap
For taking the cash
Kill or be killed
The 84 million dollar
Bribe to kill thy brother
Burns the outstretched hands
Israeli drones
Drone incessantly
Assassinate obsessively
Plays with their victims
Like rats on the attack
Going for the jugular
While the West
Wrings its collective
Hands washes away
The stain of guilt
The set-up
Israeli inspired
Permits
Crucifixion
The daily horror show
Palestine quakes
As the earth tears open
Swallows incessant pain
Until corpses remain
Buried in blame
Palestine’s twin selves
Gaza, the West Bank
Doubly occupied
Snaps on itself
Burns and ignites
But fails to unite
To fight the enemy
That now dwells
Within
