Scoop Audio: PM's Presser Dangerous
Dogs 'N' Dodgy Loan Sharks
The horrific dog attack that recently cost a woman her life was the major talking point of today's post-cabinet press conference. Also traversed was the paying back of money found by the Auditor General to have been misspent by the Labour Party.
The Prime Minister gave a good impression of being pleased with Labour's 'big whip around' which has raised more than $800,000. This money could be returned to public coffers as early as the end of this week.
The political future of rogue ex Labour MP Taito Philip Field was also briefly traversed. Scoop Media wanted to know what a Labour supporting constituent of South Auckland could do if they had been ripped off by the plethora of loan sharks that prey on the weak and financially challenged – perhaps go and see Mr Field? Evidently a true/blue Labour supporter could bypass Mr Field's assistance and seek out the ear of Labour List MP Darien Fenton while a long awaited government report into loan sharking is given its final tweaks.
