Stateside With Rosalea Barker
Winding Down
::Hey, YOU!::
From one of the recipients of Time Magazine's Person of the Year award:
"The mayor was abused and other 'embodiments of evil' were water bombed. Some of this activity was photographically recorded and put on the internet. How is this not a great people's victory. Those who could have water bombed and abused the mayor but did nothing should hang their heads in shame. History will be their judge."
Look, I wanted to be there with my water bomb, and even deputised someone visiting your good lands from the States to be my proxy protestor, but alas! The Earth turns in the wrong direction for her to leave here on Saturday and arrive on Friday. When even Gaia is against you, surely History's harsh judgement will be tempered by some mercy?

::Some advice for YOU-enablers::
From another PotY:
"Hi - I'm webmonger and wikiwallah for the University of the Third Age. A very useful site (we run courses on digital writing). On a technical note, may I suggest you put a line between the content of the wiki, and all that stuff further down (about what you can do with a wiki). That separates out the CONTENT business from the PROCESS business."
And it IS a useful site:

::YOU is not impressed::
Over at the BBC webpage, the comments page is running hot, with the top-recommended comment being:
"Sounds like they couldn't be bothered to actually choose someone.
'Hey, let's just give it to everyone'
'Great idea. Lets go to the pub'"

Don't mind if I do!
