The US ambassador to the UN, John Bolton, announced his resignation yesterday. He is the second high-profile member of President George W Bush's administration to resign since the Democrats took control of Congress almost a month ago. (The first, of course, being defence secretary Donald Rumsfeld.) So what happens now, and perhaps most importantly, who's going to take over from Bolton?
