Media: Gordon Campbell Tackles The State of Modern
Journalism -
Former Listener journalist Gordon Campbell was this year asked to deliver the annual Bruce Jesson lecture - "Good evening, thanks for coming. My name is Gordon Campbell, and it is my privilege tonight to present this annual lecture which, as you know, is intended to honour the life and works of Bruce Jesson. As much as anything, it was the deeds of politicians - and the media’s failure to hold them properly to account - that impelled Bruce into his life of commentary and political action." See... Stadium:
Another Waterfront Site Proposed
An independent report
released today by Heart of the City makes a clear case for
moving the national stadium east towards Bledisloe wharf,
contradicting previous claims that this was not feasible.
The report, co-authored by independent freight specialist
Peter Carr, is very timely according to Heart of the City
chief executive Alex Sweeney. See... “An
inconvenient truth” Bledisloe is feasible [1]

Tests: Doubts Over Auckland Transition
There are
significant questions still to be answered about the future
of community laboratory services in Auckland, says

significant risks around the transition to a new community
