Scoop Satire: Auditor-General Thought
Processes Remix
In his report on advertising expenditure in the 2005 election funded by Parliamentary Services, the Auditor-General helpfully supplies a decision-making flowchart used when determining the legality of particular pieces of advertising. While this is a very fine thing, whether such a simple process can be so robust is a matter of debate... I therefore propose the following, which, while giving much the same results, more fully reflects generally-held beliefs about the Auditor-General's reasoning. See... - Associate Justice Minister Clayton Cosgrove today released the third and final discussion document on proposals to prevent money laundering and terrorist financing. "New Zealand's stable financial system makes it attractive for international criminals to deposit funds here and then move the money to other jurisdictions, so we must not be a weak target," he said. Why Murky Asylum Laws Make Criminals Of The
Innocent
- David Hall writes that the case of Thomas Yadegary, an asylum seeker who has been detained in Auckland Central Remand Prison since November 2004, is a good illustration of just how murky and complex the realm of asylum policy is. As such, there are rarely straightforward solutions to the difficulties that asylum seekers present to the nation they arrive in. There are, however, compromises that are more tolerable than others. "Shocking" Documentary Airs On Norway, NZ Vaccine
Programmes
- At the same time while Norwegian authorities were paying compensation to vaccine victims, the same vaccine was exported to New Zealand and used on small kids. To say it nice, they enlisted hundreds of thousands of small kids into a gigantic experiment, says Jan Helge Solbakk, professor in medical ethics. 1988 started the largest experiment ever conducted on Norwegian population. 180,000 school teenagers were used as test subjects in the largest Norwegian vaccine trial ever. It lasted from 1988 to 1991. See... Norway MENZB Doco: Exported Controversial Vaccine [1]
