Nuke Test: North Korea Condemned For Testing Nuclear Device

NZ Prime Minister Helen Clark today said New Zealand utterly condemns the reports of a nuclear test by North Korea, saying it is a provocative and destabilising act for the region. “North Korea should have no illusion of the gravity with which the international community views its action. Fisheries: Improving Exploited Foreign Workers Lot Incenses Maori Party -

Foreign fishing crews look set to see an improvement in their pay packets after the government announced a range of measures aimed at improving the conditions of foreign crew's working in New Zealand waters. Maori Party Co-leader Tariana Turia however is angered by the move to improve the lot of foreign fishing crews. Ms Turia pointed out in a press statement that the 'significant increase of up to $2 extra an hour over and above the minimum wage will hurt the Maori fishing industry.' See...
