Child advocacy agency ECPAT has lodged a complaint with the Censorship Compliance Unit over the Spring issue of Pavement. They claim some of the images of teenage and preteen girls in the magazine are "legally objectionable" and "soft child pornography."

The editor of Pavement magazine who chose to mark the magazines thirteenth birthday with a "Lost Youth" birthday teen issue. The issue contains photospeads of topless teenagers but Barney says accusations of child abuse are "insane"

The Chief censor says while there does appear to be a prima facie case against pavement, it's all about the context of the images and the magazines intended audience.
