Scoop Audio: Dr Brash Offers Love Advice (2005)
Scoop has obtained a mashed up audio of currently embattled National leader Dr Don Brash offering love advice to the population of Christchurch. Currently Dr Brash has faced caucus dissension regarding allegations of an affair with the vice chair of the New Zealand Business Roundtable Diane Foreman.
Scoop understands that the audio is from some time prior to the 2005 election. During 2005 Dr Brash regularly appeared on Christchurch's RDU – however after an ill-fated attempt at what appears to be a 'love advice guru' Dr Brash's chats with the then host of the RDU breakfast show ceased.
It is believed that Dr Brash's advisors considered dispensing relationship counselling to the public of Canterbury may not assist in winning votes.
However upon listening to these snippets of wisdom from Dr Brash Scoop can certainly see how the urbane Leader of the Opposition would be able to relate well to the opposite sex – the advice seems generally sound. Topics covered include advice for people whose partners are falling in love via cyberspace and the difficulties of taking blonde beauty queens out to dinner.
