Child Marriages Are A Bad Practice
Kamala Sarup
We should remember that high levels of child marriages which has led to a rise in maternal and infant mortality throughout the world. Child Marriage has always been an important issues throughout women history. Child marriage has a low strength and is a worst things against the girls and children. As child marriage is dissolved in child rights, it is made into poor society.
Even throughout the world, some legal provisions introduced but, in many communities, child marriage is still practised.
According to the UN nearly half of all marriages in Afghanistan only are thought to involve girls under age 16 and in some rural areas children as young as 6 are married off by their families. "The tradition of marrying off daughters as young as 6 is still common." The U.N. agency said.
Child marriage has many important secondary health and economic problems. Around thousands marriages of minors under the age of 18 are said to take place every year in South Asia only. Child marriage also is so much used in Africa also.
Especially, the early marriage trend is common in South Asia. The people with conservative mindsets both in the Hindu and Muslim communities feel proud to get their daughters married before they enter adulthood. Awareness program have not been effective in eradicating this malpractice in South Asia. And only a few girls are going to school. Child marriage also giving more difficulties that are also not useful in our peaceful and free society.
We must remember each society has special characteristics that make is desirable for specific rights for our children and girls. Because It is important for child and girls rights. Its appearance and has made more worst to the society which also damage girl's economic rights. Because our society are extremely abundant in all areas of the children and girls life for the great Pains.
Child marriage also has been attacked and destroyed our values. This is most common with problems. However, if our society is more responsible, it could reduce child marriages practices. In the era of children life which need education, training, good health services are as good as any in the world and were far respectable life for the girls, but child marriage was a major child rights violence for many years.
For the same reason, most girls are made of early pregnancy. On the other hand, the ready availability of girls, child marriage made the transition to girls life. As a result, child marriage became more dangerous practice because of the early sexual relationship and lower responsibility. Also, as the mortality deaths increased. So, emphasis should, therefore, be laid on launching awareness campaigns in those areas where this practice is common.
Greater investments in education and employment for girls and children are some of the much needed interventions to encourage later marriage.
