Emma Rice is artistic Director of the Cornish theatre company Kneehigh. She is the director of their production Tristran & Yseult, which will be at the NZ International Arts Festival from 3-7 March.
The production mixes comedy and tragedy, using the ancient Cornish tale of a tragic love triangle to explore love in all its aspects, as a chorus of unloved 'lovespotters' look on.
In the interview, Rice share her thoughts on the production and discusses the workings of kneehigh theatre.
