DeLay: "Money laundering is a family value."

Former House Majority Leader offers the Sopranos and Gottis as proof
Satire from freepressed.com

Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay. Kind of has a nice ring to it, don't it?

Sugarland, TX-- In his second indictment in as many weeks, Former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay from Texas now faces up to 20 years in jail for money laundering if convicted.

Rep. DeLay told reporters that regardless of what the criminal investigation uncovers, he was upholding sacred values passed down through generations of Mafia families when he filtered illegal campaign contributions through the Republican National Party.

"What's conspiracy but another word for working together? American families should be encouraged to do more of that, not less," argued DeLay. "Money laundering is a family value, too. Just look at the Sopranos and the Gottis. They do it all the time and they're big TV stars."

DeLay was referring to the wildly popular HBO series about the fictional mob family, the Sopranos, and the new reality TV show that follows John Gotti's family through their daily routine.

However, top mob bosses in some of the most prominent crime families say the Republicans are out of control and need to be reigned in.

"They got greedy," explained Guido Carlucci, considered by some to be the heir-apparent to the current Godfather. "I mean, we like organized crime as much as the next person, but these guys are fanatical about it."
