Paul Buchanan’s Book Launch Tonight

Scoop News: Security and intelligence expert Paul Buchanan is launching his book “With Distance Comes Perspective” in Auckland tonight (Tuesday September 27) at 6pm. The book examines security strategy and applied intelligence policy currently in use around the globe.

Paul Buchanan is a senior lecturer at Auckland University and is a forthright and respected writer and commentator on geo-politics both from a New Zealand perspective and abroad. This book: “With Distance Comes Perspective” examines and expands on his writings over the past few years, commentaries that observe and distil the complexities of security and foreign affairs policy and examine the cause and effect of manoeuvres advanced by powers in Iraq, the Middle East, the Islamic world in general.

The book also examines in detain the Ahmed Zaoui case and reveals why Buchanan feels the New Zealand government misread the nature of Mr Zaoui’s situation.
