LEAD:
Cullen Chases Delayed National Tax Policy
[1] Finance Minister Michael Cullen says National is sinking
slowly but surely into trouble of its own making over tax
cuts. “They are still slithering all over the place on
timing. First they were going to release their tax policy
once the election date was announced. That went out the
window and was replaced with a promise simply to name the
date of their announcement once the election date was known.
“Now that promise has been broken too and voters are told
that they will not known the final details of National’s tax
policy until four weeks before polling day. See... National’s
numbers don’t add up. [2] ALSO:

Horomia
Attacks National's Plans To Abolish Maori Seats -
National has made their vision for New Zealand clear. Under National, the future of New Zealand will be one where Maori will get few, if any, speaking parts according to Ikaroa-Rawhiti MP Parekura Horomia. "National seem determined should they ever become government for a New Zealand that is 'Maori' free. Their leader, Dr Brash has made it clear that abolishing the Maori seats was policy on which National could not compromise." See… Maori seats, gone by kai time? [1]

PM Defines Election Battleground
- Helen Clark said that this election is about leadership, credibility, and values. "It’s about who can be trusted to run a strong economy, create jobs, lift living standards, and invest back into the basics of health, education, services for older citizens and families, infrastructure, and law and order.
