Two EarthQuakes Shake Marlborough Over Night

Two strong earthquakes occurred 40 kilometres south of Seddon near Marlborough. The strongest struck at 12:15am Friday. The quake registered 5 on the Richter scale and was felt throughout the region.

A quake measuring 4.2 on the Richter scale occurred at the same location earlier on Thursday at 8:21pm.
