Prime Minister Helen Clark today congratulated Michael Campbell on his stunning win in the United States Golf Open, the first golfing major win by a New Zealander since Sir Bob Charles’ British Open win in 1963. The start of Cabinet was deferred while Ministers watched the final holes. Michael Campbell wrote: "What a week! At last - a Major in the bag! It's been a long time in the making, but I've finally achieved a goal I set myself many years ago. It's such a fantastic feeling to make a breakthrough in the US - and at the US Open, no less! Scoop Report: Centre-Right Lobby Has $2mil For Anti-Labour Campaign

- Kevin List reports that a forestry lobby group is planning a $2 million dollar election year advertising campaign attacking the Government’s handling of forestry in regard to the Kyoto protocol. The budget for the anti-Government campaign is nearly twice that spent by the largest opposition party last election. Prince William's Visit - More Than Just Rugby

- Prime Minister Helen Clark today announced the programme for next month's visit to New Zealand by Prince William. Helen Clark said Prince William is taking the opportunity to visit a wide variety of places and people during his first trip to New Zealand from 30th June to 10th July. - The latest government forecast of net greenhouse gas emissions for 2008-12 shows New Zealand will miss its Kyoto target by 36.2Mt CO2e unless further action is taken.
