It’s a public holiday in Wellington so Herald on Sunday political editor Jonathan Milne will phone in between mowing the lawn and trimming the hedge. This week we ask him when he thinks the government will call an election. Yesterday the PM addressed the Ratana church at its annual celebration. Is the party is losing its support amongst the congregation of that highly political church? Also Orewa round two: Boredom or Blitzkrieg?

1:30pm Tala Dowlatshahi from Reporters without Boarders

2004 was a dark year for journalists. According to reporters without boarders 53 journalists were killed last year, the worst figure since 1995. In addition to that at least 907 journalists were arrested, 1,146 were attacked or threatened and at least 622 media outlets were censored. We talk to Tala Dowlatshahi in New York about what’s killing the press.
