Scoop Images: Two Hurricanes & A Typhoon

Published: Fri 3 Sep 2004 02:04 PM
Frances is not the only large Hurricane/Typhoon presently threatening mayhem around the globe. All three pictures that follow were taken today in a single pass by NASA Modis's Terra Satellite. Frances and Howard are both Category 4 Hurricanes, one step below the highest level Category 5, and the as yet un-named Typhoon 22W will, if it hits China as forecast, be the third Typhoon to make landfall near Shanghai in less than a month. - Scoop Co-Editor Alastair Thompson
