Scoop Images: Whakapapa Opens For 2004

Published: Tue 6 Jul 2004 03:57 PM
A photo essay of a trip to Whakapapa Ski-field on the first weekend of the July school holidays by Scoop co-editor Alastair Thompson and family. Much to the delight of everybody around 50cms of snow fell on Saturday night, setting up both Whakapapa and Turoa ski-fields for an excellent holiday period. A further 10cms of snow fell last night. See Snow.co.nz for webcams and snow reports showing current conditions. (Click images below to see high resolution versions...)
