Poem: Israeli Violent Storms Strike Palestine
Israeli Violent Storms Strike Palestine
By Genevieve Cora Fraser
An ill
wind blew
From Washington
To Tel Aviv
today
Bringing power
Lines down
In lock-step
Collapsed
Universal
Rights
To
Return
DeLay's bill
Spun around
Like a
micro
Blast passed
The House
Recognized
Jewish
rights
To return
To a place
They never
Were but
left
Native Palestinians
Blown away
Strewn
about
The Roadblocks
On the Road Map
Up against the
Wall
Slammed into the rubble
Of a
Concentration
Camp existence
Stormed
By Israeli
troops
Lightning swift
Raids whisked barefoot girls
In pajamas away
In Nablus
For
interment
Torture and abuse
Fathers blown away
By
snipers boys
Pelted with hail
Of bullets
mother's
Mourn arrested
In their tracks
As
American
Made and paid
For fighter jets
And
helicopter
Gunships streak
And blacken
Peaceful
Palestinian
Skies sudden
Bursts of thunder
Explode and roar
As lightning
Swift
vengeance
Strikes the People
And Place
Zionists
deny
Exists and
Americans
Are trained
By Jewish
Media
Smokescreens
To
ignore
