When I first read this I wondered whether someone was having a joke at someone's expense! I wonder whether the irony has perhaps been lost on the Minister and whether he in fact checked to make sure that the Japanese were indeed "moved and impressed with the film, its story, and the new insights it gave them into New Zealand" or simply salivating at the prospect of being able to visit a country where a whole lot of whale-meat just lies on a beach waiting to be sushi-ed!!
