Scoop Media Limited, publishers of the Scoop.co.nz raw news web site, has announced the appointment of Wade Bishop as its Business Development Manager and the contracting of Red Sheriff to audit site traffic as the company moves into a growth phase.
“In 2003, Scoop.co.nz has experienced a significant increase in demand for both its NewsAgent Media Tracking service and advertising opportunities. We felt it was time to firmly establish credibility with the advertising community through a relationship with Red Sheriff and formalise a specific role to meet and service this new demand,” said Scoop.co.nz Editor Alastair Thompson.
Wade Bishop brings Scoop.co.nz 12 years of both national and international sales and business development experience encompassing broadcast media and marketing services where he has specialized in developing revenue growth and creating priority business relationships and efficiencies.
“I am very pleased with my appointment to the team at Scoop as they share my personal values. Scoop.co.nz is a unique champion of independent media and levels the media playing field in New Zealand by creating a truly open forum for conflicting points of view.”
“As a press release driven news agency, Scoop.co.nz has become a high-value information hub of media intelligence on emerging issues for professionals with political and business interests. Scoop.co.nz is about delivering informative intelligence fast – and our readers and NewsAgent clients recognise its excellence in doing just that,” Wade Bishop said.
Scoop Media signed on with Red Sheriff at the beginning of June and, though now listed in their statistics, a complete set of figures will not be available till early July.
“Red Sheriff have shown themselves to be an excellent organisation, adding real value to New Zealand’s on line sector. I’m quietly excited by how Scoop.co.nz is tracking in their figures and look forward to making an announcement of our performance next month,” Wade Bishop said.
