Firas Al-Atraqchi: Jerry Falwell, Agent of Israel
Jerry Falwell, Agent of Israel
By Firas Al-Atraqchi
A live broadcast of the Donahue show (MSNBC - Monday, December 9) examining the current push towards an invasion of Iraq revealed a few things about its guest speakers.
Reverend Jerry Falwell, for one, was calling for an immediate war against Iraq.
Falwell ridiculed any of the audience members who seemed skeptical of the Bush administration and voiced dissent against a war in Iraq.
"How would you feel if Iraq fired a missile at Israel?" Falwell asked one audience member.
When an Iranian-American said he believed the current push for war was little more than to secure oil reserves, Falwell fired back:
"Where do you live? New York? You wouldn't be saying that if you lived in Tel Aviv".
"It is almost blasphemous to say that our president is interested in the oil of Iraq," says Falwell.
When former U.S. Ambassador to Iraq Edward Peck said that no one really considers a Iraq a threat against the world except the U.S., Falwell said:
"Israel considers him (Iraq) a threat".
Falwell went on to persistently make a connection between Germany and Iraq, Hitler and Saddam, alluding to Hitler's Final Solution for the Jews.
Serious questions must be posed:
Is Falwell Israel's official spokesperson in the U.S.? Is Falwell promoting war against Iraq to protect Israel? Does Falwell protect the interests of his people, all of humanity, or only Israelis? Is Falwell telling the American public that Saddam's common denominator is another holocaust? Is it a truism that Saddam and Hitler are identical? Is Falwell telling the American public that U.S. President Bush is God and should not be questioned?
Certainly something to consider.
