More images of the environs of the most photogenic mountain village in the world taken by Norman Mackay .
Norman writes: “Photos taken today in the Lake Ohau area. The amount of snow we have had is really quite vast. Its around the 40cm mark, and in some places its more than that. Its not really melting either because the day time temperatures have only been reaching about 2C. There has also been a surface type fog hanging over the area which has not helped anything to really thaw out much. Its going to be a slow thaw unless we get some warmer weather. The ski field may decide to open its field sooner than later because of the great snow they have up on the field.”
