More images of the environs of the most photogenic mountain village in the world taken by Norman Mackay .
Norman writes: “Winter reached us here at Lake Ohau. We woke up this morning to 9 cm of fresh snow, and an outside air temperature of 0 degrees. Its since warmed up to 2C, and there is a bit of a thaw on with everything looking rather soggy. I expect it to freeze tonight which will make the roads in the area quite dangerous for driving. The snow came after a week of heavy rains, which have dumped about 80mm of rain in the last eight days. I believe the forecast is for more rain and snow in a couple of days.”
