Photo Sequence: Suicide Bomber Apparently Executed

Published: Thu 14 Mar 2002 10:41 AM
The following sequence of photographs circulating on the Internet, taken by an amateur photographer, appear to show the execution of a Palestinian man, apparently on a suicide bombing mission, by Israeli police.
Israeli police say they were forced to kill the man to prevent him detonating explosives strapped around his waist.
The AFP news agency, which published the photographs, says it has testimonies from over 10 witnesses who say the man was shot half an hour after his arrest, when he was completely subdued.
