Afghan News Network Claims bin Laden Responsible

Opposing Afghanistan news agencies are pointing to various groups as responsible for the terrorist attack on the World Trade Centre in New York this morning.
Afghan News Network has published a Reuters report that Saudi dissident Osama bin Laden warned three weeks ago that he and his followers would carry out an unprecedented attack on the USA for its support of Israel.
The claim comes from an Arab journalist who had access to bin Laden.
Reuters is reporting that Abdel-Bari Atwan, editor of the London-based al-Quds al-Arabi, an Arabic-language weekly news magazine, said Islamic fundamentalists led by bin Laden were ``almost certainly'' behind the attack of the World Trade Center in New York.
