Published: Fri 13 Jul 2001 10:37 AM
Yet more images of the environs of the most photogenic mountain village in the world taken by Norman Mackay .
Majestic view of Lake Ohau - taken on the morning of the 9th of July. Pointing East towards the start of the Ben Ohau range, and where the water leaves the lake on its run towards Benmore Dam where it creates hydro power for NZ consumers.
Towards the Dobson – also taken on the morning of the 9th of July. Shows a wonderful view of the big Dobson valley with Mt Cook on the horizon. The mountain sitting at the end of the lake is Glen Mary which splits the two valleys, the Hopkins and the Dobson. The air clarity makes for wonderful photo opportunities, and the scenery is ever changing with the sunlight and shadow.
