NEWSFLASH: Gore Concedes Defeat

America has a president elect - Democrat Al Gore has conceded defeat to Republican George W. Bush, handing him the presidency.
In his address to America at 3pm NZ time, Mr Gore said he accepted the decision of the US Supreme Court but said he strongly disagreed with it.
However, he said the need for national unity in America was more important than party politics.
