INSIGHT – The World’s Largest ONLINE Event for Parkinson’s

Starts World Parkinson’s Day April 11 – 13.

Over 2000 people will attend INSIGHT 2019, the world’s largest online event for Parkinson’s when it kicks off on World Parkinson’s Day, Thursday 11 April, 2019. The Online Summit is an inclusive event, with people with Parkinson’s, their carers and health professionals able to attend from anywhere in the world and participate via any internet enabled device. Speakers and attendees represent some 30 plus countries.

INSIGHT is curated by PD Warrior, an Australian based online rehab program that uses exercise as medicine through a 10 week programme that provides a support network, education channel, and motivational coach. Its founder, Melissa McConaghy, is one of Australia’s leading specialist neurological physiotherapists.

“INSIGHT is at the cutting edge of the participatory medicine movement. In today’s technological world, patients want more than Dr Google. They want to connect with world experts, talk to and engage with other health activists and understand that a globally connected health audience puts control of their health into their own hands,” said Melissa McConaghy.

INSIGHT is now in its second year and is a charity event raising funds through strategic charity partners including Parkinson’s New Zealand, Parkinson’s Australia, Shake It Up Australia, the European Parkinson’s Disease Foundation and Parkinson’s UK.

INSIGHT is a unique educational summit, in the era of participatory medicine where consumers actively want detailed health information to participate in patient-centred, holistic and wellness focused treatments putting people in control of their treatment options. The goal is to enable people with Parkinson’s and their carers access to gold star information from those at the cutting edge of Parkinson’s research and treatment. Hear from neurologists, researchers, those living with Parkinson’s, and allied health professionals.
