Simon Gault collaborates with Autism New Zealand
When Simon Gault learned about the struggles autistics and their families face he was heartbroken, so he has teamed up with Autism New Zealand for Autism Awareness Month to help create awareness about how all kiwis can support those living with Autism.
Autism New Zealand exists to empower people living with autism, walking every step of the journey together. From humble origins as a frustrated group of parents meeting in a garage in 1969, Autism New Zealand have grown to New Zealand’s foremost ASD support network, with a membership of over 10,000.
Autism New Zealand is now an incorporated society with charitable status, which is funded primarily through grants from charitable trusts, alongside the generosity of donors, partner organisations and a limited number of government contracts. Autism New Zealand provide support, training, advocacy, resources and information on Autism Spectrum disorders including Aspergers Syndrome.
To show his support Simon will be donating 100% of the profits from Gaults Chipotle Ketchup sold online in April to Autism New Zealand. Visit www.gaults-deli.co.nz to order and show your support.
Simon is also giving 4 prize packs to members of the wider Auckland Autism Community including lunch at Giraffe Restaurant for 2 and a SMEG kettle. The team at Giraffe will serve you a meal to suit your tastes and accommodate sensory needs.
Nominate an Autistic person or a supporting family member by visiting Simons Facebook Page https://www.facebook.com/OfficialSimonGault and sharing their story as a comment on the video where Simon talks to Tanya Blakey, who is a parent of a child with autism and a national educator with Autism New Zealand.
