Tū Kaha 2018 postponed until 21-23 August 2018

Tū Kaha 2018 postponed until 21-23 August 2018
2 July 2018
After careful deliberation, the Tū Kaha Steering Group in partnership with the Māori DHB General Managers of the Central Region have made the decision to postpone the biennial Central Region conference Tū Kaha.

The Group says it was a difficult decision but one that is focused on supporting our whānau and communities with the impending national NZNO strike.

“It is essential that our focus is on supporting families and whānau during this time as part of our respective organisations,” Stephanie Turner, General Manager Māori and Pacific for MidCentral DHB said.

Tū Kaha is an event focused on Māori health development, collaboration, innovation and overall excellence in Māori health. It aims to accelerate Māori health gain and discuss future solutions to persisting disparities in the sector.

The Tū Kaha conference will now be held from 21-23 August 2018 at Awapuni Racecourse in Palmerston North. The Steering Committee has put in place a sound plan to reorganise the logistics and programme content to ensure Tū Kaha will be another event to remember, building on the success from 2016.

Registrations for the conference remain open online at www.tukahacentralregion.com.

The Steering Group expresses their sincere apologies for any inconvenience this change may cause to arrangements that have already been made.
