Asia Pacific’s premier psychiatric conference

National and international experts to gather in Auckland for the Asia Pacific’s premier psychiatric conference

The largest annual Congress of psychiatrists from Australia and New Zealand will be held next week at the SKYCITY Auckland Convention Centre 13-17 May 2018.
The Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists 2018 Congress will have over 200 presentations examining a diverse range of topics including, autism spectrum disorder, suicide, veterans mental health, Indigenous mental health, medical cannabinoids, child and adolescent mental health and much more.
Congress keynote speakers will be presenting on:
• ‘He Moana Pukepuke E Ekengia a rough sea can be navigated – bringing Māori knowledge to treatment discovery’: Professor Hinemoa Elder–Te Whare Wānanga o Awanuiārangi, New Zealand
• ‘Epistemic trust and epistemic injustice, trying to understand the way psychological therapies work for persistent mental health problems’: Professor Peter Fonagy – University College London, United Kingdom
• ‘A simple protocol for the pharmacological treatment of schizophrenia’: Professor David Taylor – King’s College London, United Kingdom
• ‘Building a healthcare system response to Borderline Personality Disorder’: Professor Andrew -Chanen, The University of Melbourne, Australia
• ‘Tackling ethnic inequalities in severe mental illness experiences and outcomes’: Professor Kamaldeep Bhui – Queen May University London, United Kingdome
• ‘Matching antidepressants action to the pathophysiology of mood disorders: a science-based approach to treatment discovery’: Professor John Mann – Columbia University, New York
