Hospice campaign urges people to
Share a moment, give a moment: Live Every Moment
Four Hospices across North and West Auckland are working together this Hospice Awareness Week (15-21 May) to urge New Zealanders to Live Every Moment.
Hospices in Hibiscus Coast, North Shore, Warkworth Wellsford and West Auckland have collaborated on the video and Facebook campaign, involving beautiful and poignant moments shared by patients and their families over the past year. It encourages New Zealanders to share a moment that is important to them on the Facebook page of their local Hospice.
“In our work we are constantly reminded of the value of living in the moment,” explains Jan Nichols, Chief Executive of the Northern Hospice Alliance. “We want to share that with our community and let them know how much we value their ongoing support. It is that support that makes it possible for families in our care to Live Every Moment.”
When you’re dying every moment counts. Precious moments with your loved ones, moments for family to remember, moments to enjoy life, moments to reflect.
The Hospices are urging New Zealanders to:
· Share a moment that means something to you. Young or old, ill or well; what moments are precious to you? What moment would be important to you when you were dying?
· Give a moment: volunteer your time or donate to help those people who need Hospice care.
· Live Every Moment: no matter what your circumstance treasure those precious moments and be present with your loved ones.
