$5000 Media Prize For Stories On Anaesthesia Or Pain Medicine
Journalists in Australia and New Zealand are invited to enter this year’s ANZCA Media Award. ANZCA will award a prize of $A5000 for the best news story, feature or series about anaesthesia or pain medicine that appears in print, on radio, on television or online between January 1, 2016 and December 31, 2016.
Entries will be judged on their originality, quality of journalism and the way they explained the research, management or practice of anaesthesia or pain medicine to the community.  Judges will consider accuracy, the writer’s ability to explain complex medical terms clearly, the level of research involved and the complexity of the report.
The deadline for entries is 6pm on Friday January 27, 2017.
