PRESS RELEASE
Archibalds Motors Partners with Māia Health Foundation
Māia Health Foundation is gaining traction in the Canterbury landscape and are very pleased to announce and welcome its second founding business partner, Archibalds Motors Limited.
“It’s brilliant to have such an established business in Canterbury partner with us,” said Michael Flatman, Māia Health Foundation CEO. “As a new organisation, we are grateful for their support while we build our community to raise funds for game-changing projects that will make Canterbury’s health system even better.”
The Foundation launched in May 2016 with two initial projects. These include a future-proofed rooftop helipadwith a clinical support unit so patients can receive life-saving treatment upon touchdown; and major enhancements to the children’s health facilities including beds for parents in all patient rooms.
These projects will cost $5.2 million and Māia intend to raise the money in time for the opening of the Acute Services Building at Christchurch Hospital in 2018.
“We see the significant impact that Māia Health Foundation projects will have on thousands of Cantabrians’ lives,” said John Fairhall, Archibalds Managing Director. “We all know someone who has visited Christchurch Hospital, so we are all affected by the services that are available.
“Māia’s commitment to delivering world-class facilities aligns perfectly with our own ethos. As Cantabrians we need to back Māia to be the difference. There is no doubt, Māia are here for the long run and we are proud to be a part of their story.”
