Colgate recruits everyday Kiwis to spread the word this
Oral Health Month
Colgate-Palmolive and the New
Zealand Dental Association are launching Oral Health Month
across New Zealand on 1st of July to encourage Kiwis to
adopt healthy habits for healthy smiles.
This year there will be a primary focus on everyday New Zealanders and the small changes they can make to their oral health care that will make a huge difference to the overall health of their mouth. There will also be a significant focus on the oral health issues relating to children and sugary drinks. To emphasise this, there will be an initiative led by the New Zealand Dental Association covering this matter.
To assist in driving the message of better oral health for all Kiwis, Colgate-Palmolive partnered with More FM and The Edge so everyday New Zealanders could audition for a chance to appear in the Colgate Oral Health Month TV commercial. Auditions were whittled down to ten finalists, some of whom will share their tips for better oral health in the TV commercial to be on air in July.
"There is much anticipation surrounding the launch of this campaign as this is one of the first TV commercials that Colgate-Palmolive has shot and produced locally for a number of years" said John Garside, Managing Director, Colgate-Palmolive New Zealand. "The aim is to create a grassroots-style message that encourages Kiwis to communicate with one another, starting up the conversation surrounding oral health here in New Zealand. Understanding the importance of good oral health is a big part of the solution".
