Men’s Health Week kicks off on Monday!
Men’s Health Week is underway again this year to encourage New Zealand men to get proactive about improving their health and well-being.
During Men’s Health Week, men are invited to find out their health scores by completing the online Men's Health Week survey, and challenge their mates to do the same to compete for the best score.
This year’s campaign is promoting awareness around diabetes, the biggest and fastest-growing potentially preventable disease in NZ. 40 New Zealanders are diagnosed with diabetes every single day. Although the odds of developing diabetes increase with smoking, age, weight and high blood pressure, they can be slashed through healthy eating and more exercise.
A big step towards improving men’s health and well-being is removing the barriers that deter men from seeking professional help early. With this in mind, men can visit their local Unichem or Life Pharmacy during the entire month of June to get a free Men’s Health Pit Stop Check.
Men’s Health Week is proudly supported by Registered Master Builders, Pit Stop, Blackmore's, Unichem and Life Pharmacy and M2 Magazine. Thanks to health partners Diabetes New Zealand.
