Cereal lovers breakfast for Starship Children’s Hospital
Thanks to Kiwi cereal lovers, Starship Foundation has received a donation of nearly $7,000.
Kellogg’s NZ has donated $6,700 to New Zealand’s national children’s hospital as a result of an instore campaign in
association with Starship Foundation’s Five Star Partner, New World.
New World shoppers were encouraged to put their empty Kellogg’s packs in donation bins installed in participating stores
across the country. For every pack returned, a $1 donation was pledged by Kellogg’s NZ to the Starship Foundation.
Foodstuffs New Zealand managing director Steve Anderson says it’s a great result.
“New World is delighted Kellogg’s has initiated a fundraising campaign to help support our charity of choice. As a Five
Star Sponsor we know contributions helps the foundation with much needed funds to ensure Starship can continue to help
children from all over New Zealand receive world class medical treatment,” says Anderson.
Kellogg’s NZ’s Will Brockbank says the concept behind the campaign was to provide an opportunity to give back to the
community in an innovative way while also supporting a valued customer.
“We all feel for those less fortunate than ourselves, especially when they are youngsters and Starship does such a
wonderful job. We are absolutely delighted it has been such a success in generating not only funds but also awareness
for the hospital.”
