DHB investigates potential identity fraud
The Waikato DHB is in the process of contacting the approximately 25 patients who may have been directly affected by a
former staff member who appeared in court today in Hamilton on a fraud charge.
Waikato DHB’s internal processes have identified concerns about the documents presented by a person employed as a
consultant psychiatrist. Enquiries by the DHB and the Medical Council of New Zealand indicate that the documents, may
have been obtained and used by another person.
