Ronald McDonald House and Sealy NZ partner to provide a super sleep
Ronald McDonald House Charities (RMHC) NZ is proud to announce a new partnership with Sealy New Zealand who are committed to meeting the Houses bedding needs.
This will be a winning partnership for Kiwi families. As the official bed supplier Sealy NZ has started the relationship by donating 22 new Sealy Posturepedic double beds and 25 new trundle beds; to ensure the 3,500 Kiwi families who will call a Ronald McDonald House their ‘home away from home’ this year will have a restful night’s sleep.
“I know I speak for everyone at Sealy when I say we very much admire the work Ronald McDonald House Charities does in supporting Kiwi families throughout their child’s medical journey – It’s so important for families to be able to stay together at this time. We are delighted to be able to provide assistance by supplying Sealy Posturepedic beds to help the families sleep in comfort”, says Sealy’s Marketing Manager, Jenni Gaze.
RMHC in partnership with Sealy NZ is providing kiwi families with a safe, healthy and comfortable sleeping environment allowing them to rest easy and focus on what really matters – the health and wellbeing of their children.
“After a long day on the hospital ward our families need a good night’s sleep to recover and prepare for the next day – so they can focus on the most important thing – helping their child heal. The new beds from Sealy NZ will help make this possible”, says Ronald McDonald House Charities CEO Wayne Howett.
To celebrate the new found partnership Ronald McDonald House Auckland (RMHA) in collaboration with Sealy NZ will be hosting a pyjama party for the children at RMHA on the morning of Wednesday June 24, 2015.
Having families feel comfortable in the House is important to the team at RMHA, and to make sure the children feel right at home they’ve organised a pillow fight, for them to relax and just be kids.
Sealy’s commitment to RMHC also involves giving of their time. Gaze said Sealy NZ staff are “delighted to be able to volunteer their time and provide help to RMHC families in any way we can”. Getting actively involved in the House is not only great for team building, but strengthens the RMHC community by allowing people to be able to participate with us in our service delivery to Kiwi families.
