NZ Bus Achieves Highest ACC Safety Rating
NZ Bus has attained the highest endorsement from ACC (Accident Compensation Corporation) for best practice and commitment to continuous improvement in workplace health and safety.
This demonstrates our assurance to the public about continuous improvement in both health and safety and injury management practices over the last 12 months.
As a result we have been working with the ACC partnership programme and have recently achieved Tertiary Level Accreditation for the second year running.
We are one of the first public transport operators to achieve this accreditation in New Zealand and join an elite group of ‘Safety First’ organisations, focused on continuous improvement and a best practice framework.
NZ Bus CEO Zane Fulljames extends congratulations to his health and safety team as well as all regional fleet and operational managers across all depots.
“This is a huge undertaking by our staff to not only develop and implement world-leading health and safety practices but to also then do the auditing and paperwork. The senior management team says well done to all involved.
“The accreditation recognises NZ Bus’ commitment to injury prevention and also shows the maturity of our safety management practices. We don’t stand still for long in this industry,” says Mr Fulljames.
