Have you spotted one of the hidden gerberas yet?
A hidden gerbera competition has kicked off this week for Arthritis Appeal Week 2014.
Arthritis New Zealand has teamed up with 20 well-loved retail stores across Auckland, Wellington and Christchurch, and hidden a standing orange gerbera (looks a bit like a sunflower) in each store for their ‘Hidden Gerbera’ campaign.
Contestants who spot a gerbera can enter to go in the draw to win the ‘Ultimate Eagles Experience’, a double pass to the 2015 Eagles concert, with flights and accommodation included.
If a contestant spots a hidden gerbera, they can enter by either taking a photo of the gerbera and emailing it to hiddengerbera@arthritis.org.nz, or text the code attached to it to 226.
Arthritis New Zealand will be giving out clues through the upcoming weeks, as to where the gerberas are hiding, via their Facebook page Facebook.com/HiddenGerbera, and the ArthritisNZ twitter account.
Arthritis is a hidden disease in New Zealand. Many people would be surprised to learn that over 530,000 Kiwis are living with the painful condition, including 1,000 children.
“Hidden Gerbera is a way that we can get New Zealanders involved in helping raise awareness for the painful and often incurable condition” Sandra Kirby, Chief Executive explains.
Arthritis Appeal Week takes place from September 23rd – September 29th 2014. This is when Arthritis New Zealand aims to raise as much awareness and as many funds as they can to improve the lives of people living with arthritis.
The winner will be drawn during the first week of October.
Contestants may only enter one time per store.
