Heritage Hotels Tennis Charity Night Nets Funds for Starship Foundation

Heritage Hotel’s Charity Night incorporating Heritage Auckland Lobbo, held in support of Starship Foundation during the
ASB Classic, raised $15,000 for the charity last night, the 2nd of January 2014.
The Heritage Hotels Charity Evening includes the fun and spectacular Heritage Auckland Lobbo event held on centre court
between the evening’s singles and doubles matches.
The audience ‘lobbed’ their pre-purchased numbered tennis balls at two barrels on centre court to win prizes at Heritage
Auckland, the host hotel for the tennis events. Over 4,000 tennis balls pelted the court, creating a unique sight.

Following was a lively auction of desirable items including a signed racquet by Venus Williams which scooped $2,000 in
fierce bidding. All funds raised on the night went directly to Starship Foundation.
“Starship Foundation is delighted to be the chosen charity by ASB and the funds raised will benefit so many deserving
families,” says Brad Clark, CEO of the Starship Foundation.
“We are pleased to support Starship Foundation in our annual fundraiser on centre court during the ASB Classic. It is an
