Beautiful Lengths Calls On Kiwis For National Donate Your Hair Week
Leading hair care brand Pantene has today announced the launch of this year’s Beautiful Lengths National Donate Your
Hair Week – an initiative that supports New Zealand women living with cancer.
Held from November 11-17, 2013, this will be New Zealand’s second National Donate Your Hair Week and will see hair
donations taking place across the country with women, men and children pledging to cut off their ponytails for the
Beautiful Lengths cause.
The Pantene Beautiful Lengths campaign, in partnership with the charity Look Good Feel Better, aims to inspire Kiwis to
grow, cut and donate their hair to be turned into real-hair wigs for women undergoing cancer treatment.
General Manager of Look Good Feel Better, Clare O’Higgins, says Pantene Beautiful Lengths encourages New Zealanders to
come together to support Kiwi women living with cancer.
“A real-hair wig can make a huge difference in helping women with cancer to retain a part of their identity and giving
them an uplifting sense of confidence within themselves,” says O’Higgins.
P spokesperson, Lisa Cunningham, says the launch of National Donate Your Week 2013 is an exhilarating time for the
Beautiful Lengths programme.
“We launched Pantene Beautiful Lengths to provide a source of comfort, happiness and inspiration to women battling
cancer,” says Cunningham.
“National Donate Your Hair Week gives Kiwis a chance to reach out to those undergoing cancer treatment in a way that
supports them looking and feeling healthy, which is important to them.”
