From Monday 4 November Hospice NZ is appealing to people on facebook to share what makes them tick, what gives them joy
– how they live every moment.
“We want to give people the opportunity to stop and think – life is so busy and often the daily pressures of all we do
and all we have to be to those around us, prevent us from peeling back the layers and remembering the little things that
matter. We hope that the connection created through the questions we ask and the comments we receive will remind us all
of the importance of living every moment.” Explains Mary Schumacher, CEO, Hospice NZ.
The campaign is being supported by long term hospice partners Dilmah – who have donated gift packs of fine porcelain
cups and samples of their single region tea. Five packs will be given away each week of the four week campaign.
“Getting involved is simple, just like our facebook page – Living Every Moment – Hospice, and keep an eye out for the
latest question, share your thoughts and make sure your friends like and support your comment. At the end of each week
the comment that is most liked will receive a gift – with other being awarded at random” Mary outlined.
The philosophy of hospice is living every moment – acknowledging that little things matter and that every day there are
things that we can do for ourselves and those around us that make our day.
