New Appointment for Wellington Free Ambulance
Wellington Free Ambulance has appointed a new Executive Manager Clinical Services, Dr Kate Wang.
Dr Wang will begin her new role with Wellington Free Ambulance on August 12. She has previously worked for the Mary Potter Hospice, Presbyterian Support Central and the Hutt Valley and Otago District Health Boards.
Wellington Free Ambulance Chief Executive, Diana Crossan, says she is thrilled to welcome Kate to her new role.
“Kate is a long time Wellington health management professional with a wealth of experience in many different areas. She will bring valuable expertise to Wellington Free Ambulance.”
The Executive Manager Clinical Services ensures that Wellington Free Ambulance’s services meet the highest quality standards of clinical practice.
Dr Wang is passionate about the wellbeing of our community. She was a research fellow at the Wellington Medical School, Otago University.
Wellington Free Ambulance is the only free ambulance service in New Zealand. It has more than 200 staff, including over 100 frontline paramedics. Each year Wellington Free assists more than 58,000 patients in the Wellington, Kapiti and the Wairarapa communities.
